Parramatta/Holroyd Family Support

Parramatta/Holroyd Family Support Inc. (PHFS) is a community-based family support service for families in the Parramatta and Holroyd local government areas, operating since 1978.

They provide efficient, preventative service to families to improve their wellbeing, by educating and supporting parents on child development and behaviour, parenting strategies, strengthening parent / child relationships, social isolation and family violence.

Parramatta/Holroyd Family Support Inc. provides services for families from all cultural backgrounds and family types. These families must have dependent children under 12 years of age living at home.

Parramatta/Holroyd Family Support run regular courses, such as the “Managing Challenging Behaviour” parenting group in Term 2, 2015. Managing Challenging Behaviour is a six-session parenting program for parents and carers of children aged 3-12 years, to learn positive behaviour management strategies to respond to everyday challenges with 3-12 year olds. Details as follows:

When: Wednesdays, 6 May – 10 June, 2015

Time: 10am – 12.15pm

Where: 37 Collins St, Pendle Hill

Cost: A gold coin donation each week

FREE childcare and transport* are available for this group (*Transport is only available in certain areas, and for families meeting specific criteria — please call for details)

NB: Participants need to have a child 3-12 years old in their care to practise strategies covered in this course.
