Tina’s been invited again to present at the “Ask a Lawyer” session at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, organised by the Elise Women’s Refuge. The talk will take place on 6 November 2013.

This free support group is facilitated by a domestic violence specialist worker, and endeavours to empower and educate women who have experienced family violence, in helping them to move forward in their lives, free from violence.

The “Ask a Lawyer” session is just one of the talks on a range of topics for women who have experienced family violence.

Topics covered include:

  • Identifying types/signs of domestic violence
  • Impactdomestic violence  has on children
  • Building self-esteem/resilience
  • Healthy relationships
  • Legal advice from a Family Law Solicitor

The group will run for 6 weeks from 9 October 2013 to 13 November 2013, 10-12pm every Wednesday
